Spiritual Meaning of 444

Do you see the repeating number 444? Find out what the number means and how you can use it to help you in your day to day life. I have written before about other repeating numbers like 11:11 and 222 in case you are seeing those numbers as well.
The spiritual meaning of 444 is one of many repeating numbers designed to get your attention and serve as a wake up call from your spiritual guides.
444 is a very powerful number. It means that your angels are by your side and want the very best for you. They are asking that you pay attention very carefully to the signs that you see around you.
This may come in the form of a music song on the radio, an Earth angel saying a specific phrase to you at just the right moment, or seeing certain numbers or words on a license plate or road sign.
The angels will use whatever way you prefer to get your attention. They ask that you just tell them which manner of communication works better for you. It may also be seeing certain animals such as a rabbit or a bird repeatedly, such as a cardinal to acknowledge that you are indeed heard by the angels and they are giving you guidance in your everyday life through your thoughts and daydreams.
444 itself refers to an angelic presence surrounding you and taking comfort in the protection afforded you from the angels. Your angels are always near you, all you have to do is reach out to them with a thought, a thank you, or a wish or a prayer. No message goes unheard. You just may not get the answer in the form you expect.
444 also refers to movement into the 4th dimension. You can read more about that here.
Each number has its own frequency, and as you understand more about the main numbers, your guides and angels will start to show you other repeating number patterns that have more specific meanings to your day to day activities and immediate thoughts.
To me personally when I see 444, it feels like the angels have my back and are there, present, protecting you, either from danger or from your own fearful thoughts. It is quite comforting.

Is there a specific meaning of 444 when a person is born at 4:44pm? Would it affect the whole lifetime or only the time of the birth?

Thanks for stopping by and very nice to meet you! I am going to go out on a limb here as I don’t know if there is really one right answer. My thoughts say that seeing it may have been more as angelic reassurance for the mother of the person being born. Perhaps a sign from the angels that they were there surrounding and comforting the mother.

I have had numerous “encounters” as I call them, of close loved ones who have passed in the past 5 years. These encounters come in the form of a brief picture and / or 1 or 2 random words coming “into my thoughts”. Again, these are totally random words that I normally wouldn’t think of at the time it happens and then I do ask relatives if they can help me to understand what the words mean. I am finally beyond worrying what anyone else thinks (such as I am a looney !). I only have a few close friends who understand and was very excited to find your website. My true question is that for the past 3 years I have been noticing 444 in so MANY places and times. I have taken this to a reassurance that I am not alone, and to not be afraid. Through my interior redesign business, I have also have had 5 different women clients come into my world (not through my efforts) with the same first name – just different spellings. One of my friends suggested that the name is the name of my spirit guide. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me to understand these situations.

Thank you for sharing your experiences! It is 11:11 am as I am starting to write this reply. I would definitely agree with your friend about the name coincidence. It is quite possible it is the name of either your primary spirit guide or a special assignment guide that has come into your life recently. I would definitely encourage you to explore this further by connecting to your guides. Ask them what it means and listen for their answer. Hi…the 444 and repeating numbers have been happening for about the last 15 years in my life. I started to notice it after my Mom passed. I was going through a really difficult time as not only was I dealing with her passing, but I was going through a divorce. It was happening so often especially waking up out of a solid sleep right at 4:44 am several nights and seeing multiples on other digital clocks. It was so consistent that I started to research it and discovered the meaning as you stated was angelic presence for the 444. It all made sense then especially because of the high anxiety I was experiencing at the time. It seems as if when everything is going smoothly it doesn’t show up as often but once a crisis arrives, they let me know right away they are there for me. I have been on a spiritual path of learning and discovery for quite awhile even before this and daily meditating definitely helps keep the lines of communication open. The reason I am sharing this is I had a 444 experience this morning. I have been going through a rough patch recently where I have felt alone and out of sorts. The other night I asked out loud to my angels “I know you are there, but I really need a 444 sign or something just to give me a little comfort and to reassure me you are close by…I really need you guys to close ranks around me right now so I can get through this…are you guys there?”..no joke, I really said that out loud. The next day I didn’t notice anything and I kind of forgot about it. Around 11 pm last night a send a text message to a friend of mine (who I have a very strong psychic connection with) asking him some random question. He didn’t respond right away so I just went to bed. When I got up this morning at 6 am I picked up my cell phone and noticed I had a text message back from him….it said one word “Yes” and the time stamp on the text message was 4:44 am. Your angels are always waiting to help you…all you need to do is ask and they love to let you know that they are there. You just need to be open to how they will present themselves. In this case they went through my friend. I think too often people think that there is going to be some monumentous sign…like you will look out your front window and a bush will be on fire…but their communication is very subtle sometimes so you have to pay attention and not brush it off as a coincidence. my momma passed away at 4:44pm at that very time of her death the sky got bright and rain fell all once and hours later when they came to take her body and we carried her out of the house my sister covered her face an we said our final good bye’s we looked up an there was not a cloud in the sky but a strait rainbow going right up to haven i think it was her letting us know she made it to heaven and was now walking with the angels, since then friends and family have been getting woken up at 4:44am, i myself get woken up by her at least 2 to 4 times a week.

Dear Sue, I BELIEVE that this has been an indiciation to you to get on the path to your ORIGIN. Consider yourself among the most fortunate since you’re getting reminders to get on the RIGHT path unlike most who believe the physical part of ouselves is truth.
I’ll be more than happy to assist you in this regard, if you would like since I have found the “WAY” back to the “ORIGIN” which is path for everyone regardless of religions, beliefs, etc.

hi, i see the 444 a lot, almost daily, and i believe it to be a sign of the end of this world and that angels are watching over the chosen ones. 4+4+4=12 and we are now in 2012. I asked God on many occasions to end the misery and suffering that humans have created on this planet. a few months ago i also had a dream wherein a shining being, adorned in gold told me that it is not time yet for the world to end, as there are still a few good people on this planet. my gut tells me that the being is a messenger(angel) from God. in my dream the being communicated with me via telepathy. I was not scared during the dream, more at peace, and no emotion while receiving the message, it felt like feedback. i believe it was a real message.
I am a person who seeks daily to have communication with God, and have being blessed with deep insight into the human condition, so that people around me thinks i am crazy. my worldly friends have turned their backs on me, because of my insights and the fact that they are not ready for the truth, as the pleasures of the world is of more importance to them. who am i to complain though, as it is stated in the bible that this will occur once you start walking the “right path”.

For the past several years since I had my triplets who are now 7 I have repeatedly seen the number 444 and have always taken it to mean something positive. For a while I thought it meant that I would have a fourth child but now I realize it means I’m on the right track. For example, yesterday I took my three boys for a long bike ride on a local trail. This was the very first time we had done this together, the weather was beautiful and we all had a lot of fun. When we got back I check my bike odometer to see the distance we had travelled and it read 4.444 miles. I was stunned but felt elated to see it. I took it to be a message that I was doing something right.
Sometimes I can go for weeks without seeing it and then I will see it a lot. Sometimes when I happen to look at the clock at 9:11am which also happens fairly frequently, I take as a sign to be careful that day!
Just wanted to share my thoughts. It has never occured to me to look into the meaning of this until yesterday when I saw the 4.444 miles. I was finally convinced that this is happening for a reason.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I think your angels went along with you for that bike ride! What a nice confirmation that your angels are traveling with you. Getting out and reconnecting with nature can also help you connect with your angels. I also agree on seeing 9:11, which I see every so often, that it is a sign to be a bit more careful that day.

Hey Laura,
I had a dream last night about someone I just met. And in the dream, she was looking at a sentence that contained the number “four” in it 3 times. She looked up at me and said “this is my kind of thing!” in a happy sort of way.
I should probably mention this is someone I met and am considering dating. I can’t figure out if the 444 in the dream is a good or a bad thing. I’ve read conflicting this on the Internet and now I’m not sure! My own intuition, I’m afraid, is too muddled with feelings on this one.

I would take it as a good sign that the relationship is something to pursue and see where it takes you. Perhaps she sees the repeating numbers as well?

I am going through a very rough, sad time in my life. I feel very strange. Everything seems to be changing, shifting and I feel like I have no choice but to go along with the ride. I see 444 every day. Would this be my angels reassuring presence or the 4th dimension? What is your opinion, Laura?

According to the book Angel Numbers 101 by Doreen Virtue, the meaning of the number 825 is this “As you go through changes in your finances and career, your optimism is more important than ever. Keep the faith that all your financial needs will be met, now and in the future.”

For the past (maybe) 4 months( I’m really not certain), it has been happening pretty frequently that when I just so happen to look at the clock it will say 222, 333, 444, and sometimes 555, but not any of the other numbers.
Now I’m wondering should I start writing the sequence in which I see the numbers and how far apart they are or should i just apply the message of the number to the day and whatever I’m dealing with that day, idk, but one thing is sure, I just had a weeping ceremony with myself and I went into the other room and came back and picked up my phone and saw the number 444 on my cell phone.
Not really sure how to understand that but I’m certain that it means something if someone can help me understand please do so jukebox79 @ live.com. Thanks!

I do believe in the case of seeing it on your cell phone, it was a matter of the angels wanting to reassure you that they were with you, during a sad time.
I would concentrate on the thoughts you were having right before you saw the repeating numbers, rather than the timing or order of them. Do keep a journal, it will help make a bit more sense of things for you.

Hi Laura,
This phenomenon of consecutively noticing 111 to 555 has been occurring since the past 4 months but at a more frequent rate in the past month. I am not the spiritual type but i’ve tried searching for a reason for this having to occur but had no luck. I have had a rough couple of months thats passed but this month has been particularly eventful in my life. Could you please help me to understand the continuous repetition of these numbers?

Hi Adithya,
To me, seeing the repeating numbers has a slightly different meaning for everyone. I encourage you to pay attention to what you were thinking about right before you saw 111. To me it is a confirmation that my thoughts are correct and aligned with my highest path and purpose. Seeing 555 to me indicates a change ahead. Note, these are only my thoughts on the numbers and you may draw different conclusions depending on your circumstances. You might want to start writing down when you see each of the numbers, especially when you see them repeated three different times or more each within a day. I wish you the best on your journey.

which basically stated that 444 is No from spirit; that they are disagreement with your thoughts & intentions. Again, relieved it’s actually a positive sign. Thank you!

I have read that page before also. It just didn’t resonate with me for that particular number, but it does for the person that wrote that page. It means what you decide it means to you personally, so it can be a different meaning for each person. To me when I see 444 I see it as a positive sign.

If this is the only number you see, I wonder if your guides are not trying to see how receptive you are to communicating with them in this manner. I wouldn’t be surprised if you begin to see other repeating numbers soon.

Numerology
Numerology is the study of numbers, and the occult manner in which they reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies, as an integral part of the cosmic plan. Each letter has a numeric value that provides a related cosmic vibration. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the sum of value derived from the letters in the name provide an interrelation of vibrations. These numbers show a great deal about character, purpose in life, what motivates, and where talents may lie. Experts in numerology use the numbers to determine the best time for major moves and activities in life. Numerology is used to decide when to invest, when to marry, when to travel, when to change jobs, or relocate.
Pythagoras, the Greek mathematician who lived from 569-470 B.C., is said by many to be the originator of much of what we call numerology today. The actual origins of numerology predate Pythagoras, the most popular being from the Hindu Vedas. In the twentieth century, the old science seems to magically reappear in the form of a series of books published from 1911-1917 by L. Dow Balliett and it was helped along in the 30's by Florence Campbell, and within the next few decades a wealth of literature was available to the public. Indeed, if you look at the past 90 years, it would seem that the science has moved very rapidly. But perhaps all of this was known at a much earlier time, and it was just hiding from us for a while.
What the Numbers Mean
Different numbers define different characteristics. Numbers can change for us throughout our lives but the numbers we were born with influence our character, behaviour, strengths and weaknesses. Below is a list of what these characteristics are:

Number 2 - Duality, Division, Polarity, Choice, Gestation, Cooperation, Service, Harmony, Support, Waiting, Diplomacy, Patience, Psychic, Intuition, Adaptable, Empathic, Partnership, Mediator, Comparison, Receptive, Helper, Collecting, Reproduction, Balancer of Opposites, Subconscious Memory, Positive and Negative.
Number 3 - Trinity, Union of Divine plus Human, Manifestation, Positive, Negative and Neutral, Expression, Subconscious Mind/Imagination, Creative, Optimistic, Enthusiasm, Expressive, Charming, Humour, Fun, Attractive, Friendly.

Number 8 - Achievement, abundance, executive, strength, self-disciplined, power, success, authority, psychology, entrepreneur, intensity, supervisor, provider, grandeur, material manifestor.
Number 9 - Endings, completion, humanitarian, compassionate, romantic, selfless, generous, philanthropic, loving, wisdom, idealist, artistic, spiritual healer, all allowing, other worldly, blending.
Number Sequences From Our Spirit Guides
Our Spirit Guides are assigned to us from birth, and, whether we realise it or not, guide us and advise us in our daily lives. They wish us to develop and grow, personally and spiritually, so that we can reach our full potential, find our true natures, and find our place in the world. Our Spirit Guides want to open communication with us, to establish a dialogue, so that guidance, advice and answers are readily provided and understood at the right time. The most common way our Spirit Guides begin to open communications with us is through number sequences; in ancient times it would have been something else, like seeing a particular type of bird or other animal, but in the modern digital age, surrounded by numbers everywhere we look, Spirit Guides are using number sequences to communicate. We have found that this is the first way our Spirit Guides try to communicate with us, as we cannot ignore seeing a number sequence if it is being shown to us everywhere we look and everywhere we go; and numbers are so prevalent in the modern world.
Our Spirit Guides communicate number sequences in many ways. One way is that they will gently draw your attention toward a certain direction so that you'll look up or turn around in time to notice the clock's time or a phone number on a billboard. Your Spirit Guides will continue to show you a sign until you take notice and say, "OK, this is weird! What does this number sequence mean?!" For example, you may see 1111 or 1212 every time you look at a clock, or be driving past a billboard and always be drawn to look at the 555 that is part of the telephone number.
Another way in which Spirit Guides show you meaningful number sequences is by physically arranging for, say, a car to drive in front of you that has a specific license plate number they want you to see. Those who are aware of this phenomenon become adept at reading the meaning of number sequences. Your Spirit Guides can provide guidance, advice and answers to any question you may ask, however important or mundane. For example, you could see the 333 sign when thinking about whether to have Pizza or Fried Chicken for dinner; or you could see the 333 sign when thinking about quitting your job - it can be any question whatsoever! Remember, do not look for signs or avoid them, as they will find you at the right time regardless of your efforts; they happen naturally.
Over many years of communication with, and confirmation by, our Spirit Guides, the Spiritual-Path.com Team has recorded all of the signs we use to guide our lives and our journey on the Spiritual Path, and these number sequence signs are listed below. Our copyrighted sign interpretations are not a reproduction of other works, interpretations, studies or research projects, they have been provided by our Spirit Guides and are the result of many years of our own research and a scientific methodology-based analysis to decipher their meaning, followed by rigorous testing to prove their accuracy.
There are no hard and fast rules for number sequences; thousands of people have found the answers they seek using our interpretations, but there were also some that didn't. Just as there are many religions, there are many interpretations of number sequences. All religions are a path to God and to a better understanding of Life and yourself; if there was one set religion that was ordained as the 'right' one, there would only be one religion, but there isn't (although, many religions do presume to state that their religion is 'the one true religion'!). In the same vein, there is no cosmic law that states, "These are the number sequence interpretations!" Our Spirit Guides have shown us these number sequences and we have spent many years deciphering their meaning through systematic scientific analysis. We have studied, analysed, refined and concluded our interpretations, and have found that they advise and guide us consistently and accurately in our lives. But, like religion, you are free to choose the path that suits you best; if you feel another interpretation works for you, you are free to use it.
If you wish, you could create a list of your own number sequence interpretations with which to receive guidance, advice and answers from your Spirit Guides, because the Spiritual Path is an individual journey, and you can use whichever method you wish to receive that guidance; your Spirit Guides will know immediately how you are interpreting a particular sign and will start using that interpretation to communicate with you. However, if you choose to use our interpretations, your Spirit Guides will use these instead. The benefit of using our interpretations is that you will not have to work out the interpretations for yourself, saving you a lot of time and stress; and you will also benefit from the ease of having a list of interpretations ready-to-hand.
Why do we use a limited set of number sequences? The number sequences we use are specific and succinct enough to deliver all the guidance, advice and answers our Spirit Guides provide, and we feel that using any more would cause confusion when discerning what is a sign and what isn't. Using too many could make virtually every sequence of numbers seen a sign; many would conflict and contradict one another, and we would find it difficult to get clear guidance - which can be very frustrating! The number sequences we use, successfully:
Guide us in the short term with the 'Common Number Sequences' Guide us in the medium term with the 'Signs in Unity with Astrological Influences'Guide us in the long term with the 'Signs on the Spiritual Path'Upon seeing signs from one of these groups, we can easily distinguish whether it relates to short, medium or long term guidance, helping us to keep the guidance within the context in which it is given, and apply it to the short, medium or long term only.
Common Number Sequences
111, 1111 - This sign is used to indicate that your thoughts are related to the start of a new cycle in your life. What you are thinking about doing or changing is correct for the new phase of your life.222, 2222 - This is a sign of confirmation that you are on the right path, doing the right thing and going in the right direction. Continue with this train of thought.
333, 3333 - This sign indicates that your Spirit Guides agree with your thoughts and feelings and could be interpreted as a Cosmic 'Yes!' to questions you have asked or ideas you may have.
444, 4444 - This sign from your Spirit Guides signifies their disagreement with your thoughts and feelings and can be interpreted as a Cosmic 'No!' to questions you have asked or ideas you may have.
555, 5555 - When you see this sign a life changing thought or event has just occurred. You may not like it, or you may. Whatever the case your Spirit Guides are notifying you that a change in your life path direction has just occurred and it is time for you to change too. Move with it, follow these thoughts.

Signs on the Spiritual Path
The following signs are used by our Spirit Guides to guide us on our Spiritual Path. These signs let us know how we are doing and what we need to do next. These Spirit Guide signs refer to your life/spiritual path in terms of weeks, months and years:

111, 1111 - These signs indicate that your thoughts are correct for the new cycle of your life and they are on your Spiritual Path. Continue with and follow these, as these thoughts relate to a new cycle in your life that is on your Spiritual Path.
121, 1221, 2121, 2211, 1122 - These signs indicate that your current train of thought is correct for your Spiritual Path. These thoughts are your focus and following these will lead you along your Spiritual Path. This can be expressed simply as, 'You're following your path!'.
131, 1331, 1313, 3311, 1133 - These signs indicate a Cosmic 'Yes!' - these thoughts are on your path.
141, 1441, 1414, 4411, 1144 - These signs indicate a Cosmic 'No!' - these thoughts are not on your path.
151, 1551, 1515, 5511, 1155 - These signs indicate that a change on your path has just occurred. Whether you like it or not, it is correct for you and is on your Spiritual Path. Proceed in the new direction.
161, 1661, 1616, 6611, 1166 - These signs indicate that your thoughts are out of balance with your Spiritual Path. These signs are like road markings Spirit Guides use to keep us on the right path and prevent us straying down the wrong one. This sign is the opposite of 121, 1221, etc. and advises that your focus has strayed off your Spiritual Path. This can be expressed simply as, 'You're not following your path!'.
171, 1771, 1717, 7711, 1177 - These signs indicate that a lesson had been learnt on your Spiritual Path. You have learnt a lesson that your Spirit Guides want you to learn, one that is important and is necessary for you to progress on your path.

These signs indicate that your thoughts regarding some part of your life are in line with your Spiritual Path and, by following these thoughts, the phase you are thinking about will eventually come to end.

The phase may or may not have come to an actual end at the time of seeing these signs, but, if you follow the thoughts you have at the time of seeing this sign, this phase will come to a complete end.
Other Number Sequences
2323, 2332, 2233 - These signs indicate your Spirit Guides agreement and support with your train of thought, plans or intended actions. This sign is most often seen after you have established a relationship with your Spirit Guides and are open to their guidance via number sequences.
1234, 234, 345- If you are repeatedly seeing ascending number sequences such as 1234, this is a sign from your Spirit Guides that these are progressive thoughts. - 10:10 is the Alpha-Omega number. The number of beginnings and endings, it is full of promise, and of opening to the "Compassionate Heart."
- 11:11 means "the Gateway", it's the doorway to your evolving self, your place within the current ascension of the planet.
- 12:12 is the number when the Higher Realms wants to download into your consciousness new ways of being a human being and experiencing life on Earth. It is like the switch, turned on for you to step into your Divine Path to be of service for humanity and every living thing on the planet.
- 333 is the Christ Consciousness number, and not anything to fear. It is a sign that you are being blessed and the high holy beings are directly overseeing your life or something in your life at this time.
- 111 is a manifestation number. It means you are in a moment where you can create for your life. Be sure your thoughts are very positive.
- 444 is an angelic realm number for prosperity and abundance.
- 555 is the number of creating positive change and forward movement.
- 777 is a very high spiritual number that signifies teaching or learning a more spiritually conscious way of thinking and being.

Why do I see the repeating numbers 222 and 2222?
The general meaning of 222 is letting you know that there is a shifting of the grid and also of your thoughts. Follow those thoughts, for they are in your best interest for completing your life’s purpose.
What specifically does 222 mean?
Your thoughts are aligned with the truth. This is verification from the angels that those thoughts are correct. For example, if you have thought about quitting your job and are daydreaming about what you would really prefer to do instead, you will receive 222 as confirmation of the ideas you had that are aligned with your soul’s purpose in this lifetime. It is confirmation that your recent thoughts are on the right path and that you should take the next step.
What is the meaning of 2222?
It signals a time of change on your path. It means a new beginning, a breath of fresh air. If you are seeing repeating numbers, consider yourself fortunate to have realized that you do. Let the numbers be your physical connection that the angels do indeed have messages for you if you are willing to listen and pay attention.
Why have I only started seeing these numbers?
In the past, you were so enamored with the physical plane, you consciously closed out that part of you and considered yourself separate from others. Realize dear one, that we are all one and to let yourself get wrapped up in the physical and material here on earth will only separate you more from the divine and from truth. We are all one.
What do I need to do if I have seen these repeating numbers?
Listen to your heart, it will guide you on the path of truth. The more often you follow your heart’s desires, the happier you will be as will the people of Earth as well. There are no extra people in this world. Everyone has a purpose and a calling.
As angels, we can only help you if you ask for our assistance. We cannot violate free will. We are however waiting for the opportunity to connect with you. Please do not be afraid of the angels. We want you to have abundance. We want to help you reach your desires and dreams. Ask for our assistance and we will be there to guide you.
222 is the symbol of new beginnings, the next step in the ladder. Just as nature cleanses the air and earth with rain, 222 symbolizes fresh air breathed into your day to day routine. A renewed sense of vigor and lust for new opportunities. Take the daydreams and wishes that make your heart smile and start taking action toward making them a reality.
